 Australia was 569 for 7. Rickey Ponting  (221)  and Michael Clarke (210) At the break Australia had piled up 7 for 569 and a declaration was unlikely to be far away, but Brad Haddin, on 23, and Ryan Harris (19 not out) were to be given the chance to add some more to the total after tea.The end of Australia's innings could not come quick enough for India after another two sessions of Australian domination during which Michael Clarke and Ricky Ponting both posted double-centuries. Their 386-run partnership was the fourth-highest of all time for Australia in Test cricket, and all three of the stands above them on the list featured Don Bradman. Michael Clarke became the third player in Test history, after Bradman and Wally Hammond, to score a triple-hundred and a double-century in the same series, although he didn't add to his score after lunch. On 210, Michael Clarke was bowled by Umesh Yadav, ending another epic partnership between Michael Clarke and Ricky Ponting.
